The Malla Reddy Landscape Project, designed by Archrays Architects & Interiors, represents a visionary approach to sustainable outdoor living. This expansive landscape design harmonizes contemporary aesthetics with ecological responsibility, featuring drought-tolerant native plants, reclaimed stone elements, and water-wise irrigation systems. The design creates a series of interconnected outdoor rooms that flow seamlessly with the architecture while establishing their own distinct character.
The landscape features multiple experiential zones including a solar-heated infinity pool, an organic kitchen garden with heirloom varieties, and a meditation grove with specimen trees. Strategic placement of deciduous trees provides seasonal shade patterns, while carefully designed dry creek beds manage stormwater naturally. The lighting scheme uses energy-efficient fixtures to highlight architectural plants and create dramatic nighttime vistas.
Archrays worked closely with the client to incorporate personal elements including a family gathering circle with custom stone seating and an outdoor kitchen with local granite countertops. Sustainable practices were integrated throughout, including permeable paving, composting systems, and habitat gardens that support local pollinators. The design creates microclimates that enhance comfort while significantly reducing water consumption and maintenance requirements.
